CT Technologist Job in Pittsburgh, PA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a CT Technologist for a 98-day travel assignment at Southwest - UPMC Presbyterian/Montefiore in Pittsburgh, PA. You will work 3 shifts of 12 hours per week on nights, earning $3,125 weekly.

Your Role

You will independently perform computed tomography procedures using established scan protocols, including contrast administration. Your responsibilities include:

• Operate complex imaging equipment for acquisition, analysis, reconstruction, and documentation of image data
• Adjust protocols and apply prescribed ionizing radiation appropriately for diagnostic CT purposes
• Perform venipuncture and operate power injectors according to department and manufacturer protocols
• Administer PO, rectal, and IV contrast per physician orders and department policy, assessing patients for risk factors prior to contrast media administration
• Identify patients using two identifiers and utilize universal protocol for all procedures
• Review patient history and physician orders, applying departmental protocols for optimal data acquisition
• Document patient history in electronic records as required
• Ensure all exams are properly coded, tracked, networked for archiving and interpretation, with charges accurately entered

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist
• Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited CNMT program
• ARRT Certificate
• Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• PA Act 31, PA Act 33, PA Act 34, PA Act 73 certifications
• CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of primary registry acquisition or date of hire
