<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - Med Surg Tele</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work every other holiday with weekend coverage required<br>• Patient ratio of 6:1 for days, nights, and weekends<br>• 12 hours of orientation provided<br>• May be pulled to all other inpatient units as needed<br>• Cannot guarantee specific scheduling requests such as block scheduling<br>• Must be available for "Emergency Team" assignments during emergency events<br>• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, Telemetry, CPI, NIHSS<br>• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required<br>• Must live more than 65 miles from facility (no local travelers accepted)<br>• Louisiana license or Compact license required at time of submission<br>• NURSYS report must be current within 4 weeks of submission<br>• Care for patients with chest pain, CAD, PVD, arrhythmias, diabetes, COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, hypertension, MI, renal failure, PE, CHF, GI bleed, and syncope<br>• Handle pre/post cardiac catheterization, pacemaker/AICD procedures, ablations, post-operative CABG and thoracotomy patients<br>• Manage cardiac and vasoactive drip titrations including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Nitroglycerin, Dopamine, and heparin<br>• Perform bedside sheath removal procedures<br>• Work with telemetry monitoring, chest tubes, PCAs, epidurals, and wound vacs<br>• Provide central and peripheral line care, port access, blood product administration, and wound care</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This medical center operates a 24-bed telemetry unit specializing in cardiovascular and medical-surgical care. The facility provides comprehensive cardiac services including catheterization lab procedures, cardiac surgery support, and advanced monitoring capabilities.
