PACU - Post Anesthesia Care

Opportunity:

RN - PACU

Job Details:

• Work day shifts from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch break (end times may vary depending on procedures)
• Call requirements of 6 to 8 days per month
• Minimum 2 years of experience required along with prior travel experience
• No local candidates will be accepted
• Provide post-anesthesia care to patients in collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical staff, and other personnel
• Utilize the nursing process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act, AORN, and hospital policy and procedures
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education
• Delegate patient care priorities based on education and experience of available staff
• Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, Stroke
• Required dress code: Navy scrubs
