Physical Therapist Job in Carlsbad, NM

Carlsbad Medical Center is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment starting April 13, 2026. You'll work day shifts Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with Friday shifts from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. You'll also work one Saturday per month. This position offers no on-call responsibilities and uses the MedHost EMR system.

Your Responsibilities:

• Examine patients and develop individualized treatment plans using various therapeutic techniques
• Help patients reduce pain and improve or restore mobility
• Teach patients prevention and management strategies for their conditions
• Promote ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability
• Develop fitness and wellness-oriented programs to support healthier lifestyles

Requirements:

• 2+ years of clinical experience
• Both inpatient and outpatient experience required
• Current New Mexico state licensure or pending approval with submission
• BLS certification
• Fingerprints required for all New Mexico travelers
