Job Details:

• 13 week contract assignment
• 40 hours guaranteed per week
• BLS certification required
• Collect blood specimens from patients of all ages using capillary and venipuncture techniques
• Assist patients with non-blood collections and ensure specimen integrity
• Perform patient identification and specimen labeling according to standard operating procedures
• Conduct point-of-care testing such as glucose monitoring
• Process laboratory and patient reports including printing, recording, distributing, faxing, and filing
• Manage priority requests including STAT, ASAP, and Pre-op draws to meet turnaround times
• Recognize problems and take appropriate corrective action while documenting issues
• Communicate effectively throughout shifts and provide exceptional customer service
• Follow protocols for specimen collection, transport, and quality control procedures
