PACU RN Job in Santa Fe, NM

CHRISTUS St Vincent Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) on a 91-day travel assignment. You'll join a surgical services team dedicated to patient recovery and monitoring in the immediate post-operative period.

Position Details:

• Schedule: 4 rotating day shifts, 10 hours each (8:00 AM to 6:30 PM)
• Weekend requirement: 2 weekends per month (12-hour call shifts, Saturday and Sunday counted as 1 weekend)
• On-call requirement: 1 night call per week
• Duration: 91 days
• Start date: June 22, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,059.20

Your Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patients during their immediate post-anesthesia recovery phase
• Obtain and record initial assessments and establish care priorities based on patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs
• Develop and implement individualized care plans within established timeframes
• Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the age of the patient population served
• Perform various point-of-care testing procedures
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning
• Float within surgical services as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications via American Heart Association
• EPIC EMR system experience
• Graphite grey scrubs required
