Endoscopy Technician Job in Rochester, NY

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Endoscopy Technician for a 117-day travel assignment at URMC Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. This is an 8-hour shift position offering $1,630.20 per week.

About the Role

You will support GI and endoscopy procedures in a fast-paced clinical setting. Your responsibilities include equipment preparation, maintenance, reprocessing, and procedure assistance. You'll apply aseptic technique principles throughout your workday and ensure the sterile integrity of all instruments and High Level Disinfectant (HLD) solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Disassemble, inspect, and identify defective or malfunctioning equipment parts; perform preventive maintenance on procedure supplies and endoscopes
• Execute pre-cleaning, inspection, leak testing, cleaning, and high-level disinfecting of all endoscopes per regulatory standards
• Identify needed repairs and follow established protocols for reprocessing endoscopes and accessories
• Determine appropriate High Level Disinfection methods based on material type and manufacturer instructions
• Check and calibrate equipment according to established protocol
• Monitor sterile and HLD integrity of items throughout procedures
• Perform ambulatory technician duties including obtaining and documenting vital signs and transporting patients
• Store equipment according to facility standards

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of endoscopy or allied health technician experience
• Travel experience required; at least 1 completed travel assignment
• High Level Disinfection (HLD) certification highly desired
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and equipment maintenance protocols

Schedule

Monday through Friday with day shifts and night call responsibilities.
