OR RN Job in Albany, GA

Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Operating Room in Albany, GA. This is a 119-day travel assignment with a start date of July 24, 2026.

Shift & Schedule

• 4x10 rotating shifts, 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM
• Rotating days off with holiday rotation required
• Weekend call approximately once per quarter (every 7th weekend average)
• No weekday call for general staff
• 30-minute call response time required

Role Details

You will work in a general OR setting within a 19-suite facility performing 55–60 cases daily. Common procedures include orthopedic and neurological trauma, robotics, and general surgery. The facility does not perform major pediatric cases, transplants, or C-sections in the main OR. Specialty call teams cover orthopedic, neurological, cardiac, and thoracic cases nightly; you may cover these if competent in those areas.

Scrubbing is preferred but not required for RNs. Scrubs are provided, and you will receive one week of floor-specific orientation.

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of OR experience
• Basic competency across nearly every service line
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Skills checklist must reflect accurate experience; proficiency required for any skill rated at a 3
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Must reside within 75 miles of the hospital (verified by driver's license address)
• BSN not required

Compensation & Details

Weekly pay is $2,641. The facility uses MEDITECH for charting.
