ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - Trauma ICU

Job Details:

• Work in a 20-bed Trauma ICU with patient ratios of 2:1, sometimes 1:1 depending on acuity
• Minimum weekend requirement of 4 weekend shifts per schedule
• Schedule is done in 4-week increments with self-scheduling options
• Manager will move shifts to balance out the schedule
• Contract labor is first to float; if staffing need is in med/surg, expected to float to med/surg and take the assignment
• Work with equipment including ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, EV 1000, and traction
• Document using Meditech system
• Perform and assist with procedures including insertion of central lines, arterial lines, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, and EVD insertions
• Active RN license required
• ICU experience required
• Trauma experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Dress code: Navy scrubs, tops and bottoms
• Expected to provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and family members
