X-Ray Technician Job in Alpena, MI

MyMichigan Health – Alpena is seeking an X-Ray Technician for a temporary assignment. You will perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, applying ionizing radiation safely and accurately for radiologic diagnosis.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Positioning patients and equipment to accurately demonstrate the area being examined, using extensive anatomic positioning skills
• Providing appropriate radiation protection for patients and staff during all radiation exposures according to established safety standards
• Adjusting technical factors to ensure proper exposure using independent judgment, knowledge of human anatomy, disease effects on radiographs, and radiation principles
• Operating all radiologic equipment within the department safely and effectively

Position details:

• Shift: 5x8 evenings
• Duration: 91 days
• Start date: June 22, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,188.80
• No call responsibilities
• No weekends or holidays required

Required qualifications:

• 2+ years of X-Ray experience
• High proficiency in hospital settings including ER, Inpatient, Fluoroscopy, and OR
• ARRT certification
• BLS (AHA) certification
• Skills checklist current to within 1 year pertaining to radiology technology
• 2 supervisory reference forms completed within the last 2 years
