Medical Lab Technician Job in Bossier City, LA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist for a travel position at CHRISTUS Bossier Emergency Hospital in Bossier City, Louisiana. This is a full-time night shift role with no on-call requirements.

Position Details

• Schedule: 3x12 nights, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Duration: 91 days
• Start date: November 23, 2026
• Weekly pay: $1,576.80

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complicated laboratory procedures including specimen processing, handling, and testing
• Calculate, enter, and verify results of laboratory procedures using the Laboratory Information System
• Perform quality control procedures and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment
• Operate, troubleshoot, and make minor repairs to laboratory instrumentation
• Provide notification and documentation of critical laboratory values
• Process patient specimens with attention to minimal pediatric specimen volumes
• May perform phlebotomy and other patient-oriented tasks as needed
• Cross-train to other laboratory sections as assigned
• Participate in evaluation, development, and implementation of new or updated testing procedures and protocols

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution
• Current certification as MT, MLS, CLS, or MLT from ASCP, AMT, AAB, or HEW/HHS
• Louisiana State Laboratory Licensure
• No experience required for graduates of a NAACLS-approved or accredited clinical laboratory training program, or one year of approved clinical laboratory experience including rotations through Blood Banking, Microbiology, Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology, and Urinalysis/Body Fluids within the last 5 years
