Respiratory Therapist Job in Alamogordo, NM

You will work as a Registered Respiratory Therapist at CHRISTUS SNM Alamogordo Cardiopulmonary Clinic. This is a full-time travel position with 1–2 openings available.

Shift and Schedule

You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. This assignment runs for 91 days, starting April 13, 2026.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide pulmonary care for critical, non-critical, and chronically ill adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients
• Perform patient assessments and institute respiratory care plans under physician direction with minimal supervision
• Manage airways, including nasotracheal and endotracheal suctioning
• Deliver aerosolized drugs and manage ventilator setup and operation
• Manage airway support devices including BiPAP and CPAP devices
• Perform oxygen delivery device management and therapeutic monitoring
• Conduct chest film analysis, blood gas collection and analysis, and EKG analysis
• Respond to emergency situations including Code Blue and White responses
• Potentially function as Shift Leader or Team Leader
• Perform equipment cleaning, stocking, and survey preparations
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation

Advanced Skills

Depending on your background, you may assist with therapeutic gas management, pulmonary function testing, bronchoscopy assistance, and hemodynamic monitoring.

Requirements

• Valid RT or RCP License in New Mexico
• BLS certification (AHA only)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by NBRC
• 1–3 years of experience preferred

Compensation

You will receive $1,425.60 per week.
