Electrophysiology Technician Job in Rochester, NY

URMC Strong Memorial Hospital is seeking an Electrophysiology Technician to support our cardiology department. You will work primarily day shifts with some evening and on-call hours as needed, on either a 4x10 or 3x12 hour schedule.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assist the Electrophysiologist during EP studies, ablations, and cardiac implant procedures
• Implement EP pacing protocols and demonstrate understanding of EP pacing concepts
• Use GE systems (MacLab and CardioLab) to assist with pacing and measurements
• Set up mapping systems including Carto, Abbott, and Rhythmia during ablations
• Document procedures in Epic (experience preferred but not required)
• Communicate with physicians and in-room staff to ensure all equipment and supplies are available
• Assist with room turnover to support on-time procedure starts
• Coordinate with the Charge Nurse and third-party vendors for team availability
• Perform or assist with RF ablations, cryo ablations, and device implants including traditional pacemakers, ICDs, sub-Q ICDs, leadless pacemakers, loop recorders, and LAAC devices

Required qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of EP technician experience
• RCES or Radiologic Tech license
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)

Preferred qualifications:

• Cardiac implant or structural heart scrub experience
• Bloom stimulator experience

This 117-day assignment begins September 28, 2026, and offers a competitive weekly rate of $3,861.
