SLP Job in Syracuse, NY

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is recruiting a Speech Language Pathologist for SUNY Upstate University Hospital - Downtown Campus in Syracuse, NY. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 28, 2026.

Assignment Details

• Schedule: 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• One weekend per month required; inpatient work on weekends
• Weekly pay: $3,029
• Acute care experience required

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech Pathology
• NYS licensure required
• Clinical certification in Speech Pathology or equivalent
• Completion of clinical fellowship year required

Responsibilities

You will administer evaluations and diagnose speech, language, cognition, communication, and swallowing disorders. You will establish and provide treatment programs for individuals with deficits in speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders. Patient scheduling will be based on clinical needs and availability.

• Provide education to patients, families, and staff regarding disorders of speech, language, cognition, voice, and swallowing
• Prepare reports and communicate with referral sources and treatment agencies
• Participate in program development for the speech therapy discipline, PM&R department, and Service Line
• Engage in community programs

This is an inpatient acute care role in a university hospital setting where you will contribute to interdisciplinary care and departmental initiatives.
