Surgical Technologist Job in Rochester, NY

URMC Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for a 117-day travel assignment. You will work 12-hour rotating shifts covering days, evenings, and nights in a Level 1 Trauma Center operating room environment.

In this role, you will:

• Scrub in and assist with a wide variety of surgical specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma
• Operate and assist with two Da Vinci robotic surgical systems across multiple services
• Support the hospital's transplant program involving livers, kidneys, and hearts
• Work in a high-acuity trauma center setting with complex surgical cases

Requirements:

• NBSTSA Certification or 10 years of experience as a Surgical Technician
• Minimum 2 years of surgical technician experience
• NY NBSTSA Tech License (or equivalent 10-year experience waiver)
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Ability to scrub in the operating room
• Operating room experience in a Level 1 trauma center preferred

This assignment begins September 14, 2026, and offers a weekly pay rate of $1,676. A 48-hour per week schedule can be accommodated as an alternative to the standard 12-hour rotating shifts. You will join a skilled surgical team in one of the region's premier academic medical centers.
