PACU RN Job in Chattanooga, TN

Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga is seeking an RN for their Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). You will work within the Preop Holding and Day Surgery unit, preparing surgical patients for procedure and providing Phase 2 recovery care without floating to other areas.

Schedule and Pay

• Work 3 shifts of 12 hours per week or 4 shifts of 10 hours per week
• Shift start times vary between 5:00 AM, 5:30 AM, 6:00 AM, 6:30 AM, or 7:00 AM based on surgery schedule; typical start is 5:30 AM unless assigned a closing day
• One closing day per week required—shift runs from 7:00 AM until the last patient leaves, with additional pay for time worked after 7:00 PM
• No weekends or holidays
• Weekly pay: $1,918.44
• Assignment duration: 91 days
• Start date: August 3, 2026

Clinical Responsibilities

• Perform IV starts and moderate sedation administration
• Prepare surgical patients preoperatively and manage Phase 2 recovery
• Manage cardiac monitors, ultrasound, and EKG machines
• Document using the Meditech system
• Advanced procedures on unit include nerve blocks, arterial lines, central lines, and Swan catheter management
• Unit staff includes secretaries and technicians to support your patient care

Requirements

• Current RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• IV start skills and moderate sedation experience
• Experience in preop holding and Phase 2 recovery
• Blue scrubs required
