Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details:

• Block scheduling type with call required on weeknights and weekend shifts
• 2 weekend call shifts per month when 4 shifts total are requested (2 weekend and 2 weeknight)
• Patient ratio of 1:3 for both days and nights
• 27-bed unit serving adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patient populations
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy
• Scrubs provided in teal
• Charting system: Epic (hard requirement)
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Must reside more than 75 miles from facility
• Candidates will be required to float
• Mandatory competency in phlebotomy and IV placement required for all RNs
• Key skills required include Phase I PACU, Phase II Recovery, Endo/Laparoscopic, General, Ortho, Ortho/Spine, and Ortho/Total Joints
• New York nursing license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Pre-approved time off: up to one occurrence
• Orientation hours: 16
