Opportunity:

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work in Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) caring for over 4,000 cardiology patients annually
• Provide care for patients with procedures including PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip and bi-ventricular pacemakers
• Care for approximately 300 open heart surgery patients (18-24 hours post-op)
• Specialize in care of patients with congestive heart failure and electrophysiology studies
• Participate in national clinical trials managed by NISUS research department
• Work every other weekend schedule
• Possible on-call responsibilities
• Must be willing to float to similar units
• 1+ year of stepdown experience required
• Proficiency in cardiac care required
• Travel experience required
• EKG comfortability required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Michigan nursing license required with LARA and Nursys verification
• Skills checklist completed within one year of application required
• Strict 3 strike attendance policy - termination for 3 absences or being more than 20 minutes late
• Use clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat patient responses to health conditions
