Occupational Therapist Travel Job in Wichita, KS

You will work as an Occupational Therapist on a travel assignment at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. This is a day shift position running 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, five days per week for 91 days beginning June 16, 2026. You will earn $2,044 weekly.

Your role centers on acute care occupational therapy in Building 3, first floor. You will manage a daily census of approximately 250 active consults and typically work with 8–10 patients per day. You will perform OT evaluations and treatments, manage general acute care DME equipment, and chart using the Meditech EMR system. You will work with a high degree of independence and accountability.

You will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary care teams on treatment planning and discharge planning. Strong communication and flexibility are essential, as the acute care environment demands responsiveness to changing patient needs.

Requirements:

• Active Kansas occupational therapy licensure
• Minimum 6 months acute care hospital OT experience
• BLS certification
• Trauma experience preferred
• Comprehensive stroke experience preferred
