X-Ray Technician Job in San Angelo, TX

Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo, Texas is seeking an X-Ray Technician for a 91-day travel assignment. You will work three 12-hour shifts per week on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM, with no on-call responsibilities. Rotational holidays are observed as they fall.

What You'll Do

• Perform a wide range of imaging procedures including chest, abdomen, spine, and extremity X-rays
• Conduct bedside and portable procedures across all patient age groups, from neonates through geriatrics
• Operate C-arm procedures using Philips Zenition and GE OEC systems
• Work with digital fluoroscopy suites including Siemens Agile and Artis Zee equipment
• Manage Carestream digital portables and digital X-ray rooms
• Operate Shimadzu digital portable systems
• Utilize McKesson PACS system for imaging management
• Follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols consistently

Requirements

• Current BLS and ARRT R certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of X-ray technician experience
• Proficiency with any charting system
• Travel healthcare experience highly preferred
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Ability to work every weekend

This position offers you the opportunity to work in a busy radiology and cardiology department while maintaining weekend-only scheduling. You will care for patients across all age groups and gain experience with a comprehensive range of imaging equipment and procedures. Weekend coverage is required throughout your assignment.

Compensation and Duration

Weekly pay is $2,125.44. The assignment begins December 7, 2026 and runs for 91 days.
