About this role
Sutter Health Memorial Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 91-day travel assignment in their acute care ICU. You will work 3x12 hour day shifts with a 2:1 patient ratio, providing direct care to adult patients in an intensive care setting.
Assignment Details:
- Location: Modesto, CA
- Shift: 3x12 Days
- Duration: 91 days
- Start Date: September 15, 2026
- Weekly Pay: $2,579.30
- Weekend requirement: Every other Saturday and Sunday, plus holidays as needed
- Self-scheduling with occasional float; no on-call required
Your Responsibilities:
- Assess, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients
- Deliver holistic, individualized care incorporating psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors
- Develop and implement plans of care with multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain collaborative relationships with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare providers
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, industry standards, and applicable regulations
- Document in Epic EHR system
Required Qualifications:
- Current California RN licensure
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
- Travel nursing experience required
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- PALS and TNCC certifications (must be obtained within 180 days of start)
Required Clinical Skills:
- Arterial line and central line management
- Ventilator management and care of ventilated patients
- BiPAP/CPAP and high flow nasal cannula management
- Continuous IV sedation and paralytics administration
- Interpretation of arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias
- IV insulin protocols and cardiac drip titration
- Post-craniotomy and post-neurosurgery care
- Traumatic brain injury and acute stroke management
- Management of multisystem organ dysfunction and failure
Trauma Level II experience is preferred. This is an excellent opportunity to expand your critical care expertise in a structured acute care environment.
