Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Rehab

Job Details:

• Work in a Rehabilitation Medical-Surgical unit combining medical-surgical nursing with intensive rehabilitation care
• Focus on patients recovering from surgery, serious illness, or injury to restore function and independence
• Provide therapies including physical, occupational, and speech in an inpatient setting
• Coordinate total nursing care for patients with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4/5
• Average daily patient census of 22 patients
• May be asked to work as a backup Charge Nurse - Charge RN experience required
• Participate in patient and family teaching
• Provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel
• Maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting
• Float between Acute Rehab and Med Surg units as needed within scope of practice
• Every other weekend schedule required with holidays as needed
• EMR system: Cerner
• Must have own vehicle as this is a small community without public transportation
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg/Rehab experience required
• Minimum 3 months of previous travel experience required
• BSN strongly preferred
• All requested time off must be noted and verified at time of upload - no more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted
• All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission
• Local travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA)
• Vermont RN license or Compact license required
• Medical Surgical skills checklist current within 1 year required
• 1 supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment required
