Job Details:

• 3+ years of Sterile Processing Technician experience required
• Travel experience required
• CBSPD or HSPA certification required
• HSPA (IAHCSMM) certification required
• On-call requirements of approximately 4-8 hours per month
• Every 3rd weekend rotation required
• Prepare, sterilize, install, and clean laboratory and healthcare equipment
• Assemble all equipment required for surgery, exams, and other medical procedures
• Organize and assemble routine and specialty surgical instrument trays and other sterilized supplies, filling special requests as needed
• Clean instruments and other medical devices to prepare them for sterilization
• Operate and maintain steam, ETO, low-temperature gas plasma, peracetic acid, ozone, and dry heat sterilizers
• Keep records of sterilizer loads completed, items in loads, and maintenance procedures performed
• Record sterilizer test results
• Disinfect patient care equipment including infusion machines, DVT machines, and suction pumps
• Operate sterilization and processing equipment and observe gauges to detect malfunctions
• Examine equipment to detect leaks, worn or loose parts, or other indications of disrepair
• Check sterile supplies to ensure proper storage and packaging integrity
• Maintain records of inventory and equipment usage
• Must maintain strict attendance policy - 3 absences or instances of being more than 20 minutes late results in immediate termination
