Pediatric Respiratory Therapist Job in Charleston, SC

MUSC Health – Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital is seeking a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist (CRT) for their Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics NICU. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 15, 2026.

Schedule & Compensation

• 3x12 hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement with holiday rotation
• No on-call responsibilities
• Weekly pay: $2,255.04
• Guaranteed hours; facility may call off up to 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Block schedule accommodation possible with prior approval, not guaranteed

Requirements

• Allied Health Professional credential (CRT)
• Minimum 2 years respiratory care experience
• RRT certification, BLS, PALS, NRP required
• NBRC and SC RCP (South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider) credentials required
• SC RRT license must be in hand at time of start
• Pediatric, neonate, and infant experience required
• All RTO must be included at time of submission
• First-time travelers accepted

Role Details

• Work with neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adolescents
• Skills include bronchoscopy, extubation, NICU care, and pediatric critical care
• Epic experience preferred
• May float within scope based on experience level; no floating to sister facilities required
• May be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November)
• Scrub color requirement: Caribbean Blue

Onboarding

• 72 hours of orientation required
• Non-billable modules averaging 4 hours to be completed pre-start
