PCU Registered Nurse Job in Greensboro, NC

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Patient ratio of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Self-scheduling with weekend coverage required (up to every other weekend, 5 weekend shifts every 6 weeks)
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Two pre-approved time off requests allowed
• No call or float requirements
• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations in a 28-bed unit with daily census of 26
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Must have Registered Nurse License in North Carolina or a compact state
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• EPIC experience required
• Must pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)
• Subject to float to any facility campus if needed
• Focus on cardiac patients including acute coronary syndrome, pre and post cardiac catheterization, rule out myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, and syncope
• Care for patients with chest pain, stable STEMI, NSTEMI, new onset and chronic A-fib, heart failure, and other progressive care level patients
• Work with specialized equipment including TR bands, central lines, PICC lines, and CVP monitoring
• Skills include blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line management, chest tubes, feeding tube care, high flow nasal cannula, IV insulin protocols, and cardiac/vasoactive drip management
