MRI Technologist Job in Peoria, IL

OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL is seeking an MRI Technologist for a 140-day travel assignment beginning August 17, 2026. You will work 3x12 night shifts (10:00 PM – 6:30 AM) with weekly pay of $2,592.

About the Role

You will operate GE MRI scanners, including 1.5T (450W) and 3T (750W) systems. Your responsibilities include:

• Performing standard acquisition sequences and adhering to MRI safety guidelines
• Floating across outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department patients
• Starting IVs as required
• Working with Epic EMR and PACS systems
• One weekend per month and possible holiday shifts
• No call or standby requirements

An MRI Tech assistant will be available during each 8-hour shift to support your workflow.

Requirements

• Allied Health Professional degree or equivalent credential
• Active Illinois license or confirmation that your application process has been initiated
• BLS certification (AHA)
• RTR certification (ARRT MR specialty certification)
• Knowledge of MRI safety guidelines and standard acquisition sequences
• Ability to start IVs

What to Know

Solid-colored scrubs are required, and tattoos must be covered. Scrubs are not provided. You will work with department-specific GE equipment and must be comfortable floating between multiple patient care areas.
