CVICU RN Job in Phoenix, AZ

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Vascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) at St Josephs Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting June 29, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,332.80.

Schedule and Shift Details

• 3 shifts per week, 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week period
• Holiday coverage based on unit needs
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment

Clinical Responsibilities

• Care for high-acuity cardiac surgery recovery patients
• Manage patients on IABP, CRRT, lung transplant, and ECMO support
• Perform bedside procedures including bronchoscopies, Swan-Ganz catheter placement, and epidurals
• Patient ratios of 1:1 to 2:1, with a high number of 1:1 assignments
• Float to other ICU units and telemetry (4:1 ratio on telemetry); travelers float first before permanent staff
• May be required to float to Westgate campus

Requirements and Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Level I trauma experience required
• ICU experience required; CVICU experience preferred
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (CCRN preferred)
• Pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed)
• Pass/fail SIMs Lab on day 1 of orientation for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
• Strong IV skills required (no IV team available)
• Own vehicle required for travel
