Physical Therapist Assistant Job in Mount Ayr, IA

Ringgold County Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a 13-week contract assignment in Mount Ayr, Iowa. You will work a 5x8 day shift at $1,746.40 per week, with a start date of May 25, 2026.

Role Overview

Your caseload will consist primarily of outpatient patients with some inpatient coverage. You must have experience working in both inpatient and outpatient physical therapy settings to succeed in this role.

Required Qualifications and Certifications

• Active Iowa Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license or valid compact state license
• Current BLS certification issued through American Heart Association (AHA)
• Iowa Adult & Child Mandatory Reporter Certificates completed before your start date

Ongoing Requirements

• Skills checklist completion within one year of submittal
• Annual competency exam with a minimum passing score of 80%
• Joint Commission Core I, II, and III training annually, with an 80% passing score required
• Annual drug screening and background check
• Time entry in Triage Plus system required by noon CST every Monday
