Intermediate Care Unit RN ICU

Job Details:

• Work in Intermediate Care unit as part of the Float Pool
• ICU RN experience required
• Patient population includes Med/Surg, PCU, and ICU patients
• Expected nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2
• Care for patients with complex withdrawal syndromes including OUD requiring Precedex or continuous drips
• Manage alcohol withdrawal patients requiring MINDS protocol
• Treat hypertensive urgencies in stable patients
• Handle DKA cases with insulin infusion and frequent glucose monitoring (anticipated to start 10/1)
• Assess, implement, and evaluate patient care under physician direction
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to individualize care
• Direct nursing support staff according to nursing practice standards
• 2 years experience in clinical specialty area required
• Minimum 2 years general RN experience required
• Graduate of accredited nursing school required, Bachelor's degree preferred
• Pennsylvania or MSL Compact Registered Nurse License required
• Basic Life Support certification required
• Additional certifications per order check may be required
