<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - OR</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Provide surgical patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care before, during, and after surgery<br>• Work primarily in circulating position with scrub experience as an additional skill<br>• Maintain sterile and safe surgical environment<br>• Perform patient assessment and provide pre and post-operative patient education<br>• Monitor patient&#39;s physical and emotional well-being throughout surgical care continuum<br>• Care for pediatric to adult patient population<br>• Work in 14 operating rooms with coverage in Labor & Delivery for C-sections<br>• Handle approximately 50 procedures per day across all surgical specialties except cardiac and ophthalmology<br>• Strong skills required in vascular surgery and orthopedic surgery<br>• Must have 2+ years current OR experience<br>• Experience required in vascular, ortho trauma, general surgery, robotics, urology, and ENT<br>• Travel experience required<br>• EPIC experience mandatory<br>• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS<br>• Must have both scrub and circulate experience<br>• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds<br>• Must have own vehicle<br>• Non-billable orientation: 8 hours<br>• One call per month if needed<br>• Weekend schedule to be determined<br>• Must complete training from approved de-escalation programs<br>• 14-panel drug screen required within 24 hours of offer acceptance<br>• New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License required</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive surgical department with 14 operating rooms and provides coverage for Labor & Delivery C-sections.
