Registered Nurse - PCU @ Johnson City Medical Center

<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>Registered Nurse - PCU</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work 36/36, 36/48, or 48/48 schedules with rotating weekends and holidays<br>• No call responsibilities required<br>• Patient ratios of 1:7 for days, nights, and weekends<br>• Must be willing to float to Medical Surgical units with 1:7 ratios<br>• 16 hours of nonbillable orientation with general orientation beginning on Sundays<br>• 2 years of experience required, accepts first-time travelers with Level 1 trauma experience<br>• Must have previous PCU experience for this hybrid unit role<br>• Must have at least 1 year PCU experience within the past 2 years documented on work history<br>• Required certifications: AHA BLS, NIH, AHA ACLS<br>• Must live 100 miles from the facility<br>• Work with Epic charting system<br>• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations with daily census of 33<br>• Skills include blood product administration, central line care, CVA management, heparin protocols, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV start and maintenance, wound care, and use of rapid response teams<br>• Expected to actively participate in nursing student support and clinical education<br>• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only<br>• Drug test must be completed within 12-14 calendar days prior to start<br>• Facial hair must be trimmed or removed for CDC guidelines compliance during fit testing</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This medical center provides comprehensive healthcare services with 24/7 emergency and specialty care capabilities.
