ICU RN Job in Prescott, AZ

You'll work as an ICU float pool nurse at Yavapai Regional Medical Center – West, providing care across ICU, Med-Surg Telemetry, and PCU units on both campuses. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning May 18, 2026.

Schedule and Pay

• Three 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Weekly pay: $2,260.08
• Every other weekend requirement
• Schedule published 6 weeks in advance for 4-week periods
• Unit assignments provided 2 hours before shift start via text

Your Role

• Float between ICU, Med-Surg Telemetry, and PCU, including patients holding in ED
• Care for geriatric, orthopedic, post-cardiac catheterization, post-MI, and CABG post-op patients
• Manage drip titration including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin
• Interpret cardiac strips and operate CPAP, BiPAP, and heated high-flow equipment
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratios: PCU 1:4, Med-Surg Telemetry 1:5–6

Requirements and Credentials

• Minimum 1 year ICU experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% score within two attempts prior to contract signing
• Ability to interpret cardiac strips and manage critical drips
• Flexibility with unit assignments and scheduling

Orientation and Facility Details

• 8-hour general hospital orientation plus 12-hour shifts at West Med-Tele and PCU
• Charting via Cerner system
• Professional scrub dress code; navy scrubs being phased in
• Participate in permanent staff holiday rotation
• On-call/standby requirement when excessive staffing occurs
