Cardiac Cath Lab RN Job in Austin, TX

You will work as an RN in the cardiac catheterization lab at North Austin Medical Center in Austin, TX. This is a 13-week contract assignment.

Schedule and Hours

• Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM (day shift, 5 days per week)
• On-call requirements: 10–12 days per week from 3:00 PM to 6:30 AM
• Weekend on-call coverage for 48 hours required

Role Details

You will work in an 8-bed cardiac catheterization lab alongside a team of 4 RNs and 3 cardiovascular technicians. Your responsibilities include performing cardiac catheterizations, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), peripheral procedures, and assisting with pacemaker and defibrillator implants. You will work with cardiovascular invasive equipment and the Meditech electronic medical record system. Patient ratios will vary based on the procedures being performed.

Requirements and Credentials

• Current RN license
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification preferred

Work Environment

Ceil blue scrubs are required. You must be a strong team player with excellent collaborative skills, as you will be working closely with RNs, cardiovascular technicians, and attending physicians in a fast-paced interventional cardiology setting.

Compensation

Weekly pay is $2,482. The assignment begins on June 29, 2026, and runs for 91 days (13 weeks).
