Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Varied start times available including 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM, and 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, with overnight shifts available 11:00 PM - 11:00 AM
• No self-scheduling for travelers; block scheduling may be allowed if it meets unit needs
• Weeknight on-call rotation: one weeknight 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM per rotation
• Weekend on-call rotation: one weekend 24-hour on-call shift (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) per month
• Holiday call rotation as needed
• Call response time is 30 minutes; if on call and more than 30 minutes away, required to stay at facility
• Float to outpatient surgery as needed
• 2-3 years of experience in the OR specialty required along with 2-3 previous travel assignments
• Ortho experience required
• Must have experience passing the arms in and out for Robotics (DaVinci and Rosa)
• Must have Epic EMR experience
• Must be comfortable being the only RN overnight with 2 surgical techs
• Must have experience across all surgical specialties for evening and night shifts
• Common cases include general surgery, ENT, eyes, orthopedics, robotics, neuro spine, trauma, vascular, and limited pediatric cases (dental and ENT); all surgical cases except CVOR and L&D C-sections
• Scrubbing is a plus but not required for RNs
• Charge nurse responsibilities may be included for day shift (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM); travelers rotate through charge
• Orientation consists of 3 shifts over 1 week
• Scrubs are provided for RNs and OR techs
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA); PALS preferred
• Charting system: Epic
• BSN not required
