OR Registered Nurse Job in Wausau, WI

Aspirus Wausau Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Operating Room. This is a 13-week travel contract offering 40 guaranteed hours per week at $2,881 weekly pay, beginning October 19, 2026.

Schedule and Expectations

• 5x8 day shifts with variable start times: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM, or 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• On-call requirements: 6–8 weeknights and 1–2 weekends during the contract with a 30-minute response time
• Call back minimum of 2 hours
• Holiday rotation required
• Float to additional locations as needed
• Personal vehicle required due to on-call responsibilities

Clinical Role

• Circulating nurse; scrubbing preferred
• Work in 21 operating rooms covering all specialties
• Support 40–60 cases per day, averaging approximately 45 cases
• Experience with General Surgery, GYN, Urology, Plastics, ENT, and GI is a bonus

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of OR nursing experience
• At least one prior travel assignment in a comparable larger facility with 20+ ORs
• Da Vinci Robotic experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• Wisconsin RN License
• Associate Degree or Certificate in nursing; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
