Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• Night shift position providing various aerosol, bronchial hygiene and lung inflation therapies
• Must be able to float between NICU, ER, Adult ICU, and Stepdown units
• NICU assignments will vary based on acuity - this is not a NICU-only position
• Required to rotate between adult units (floors, ED, intensive care) and pediatric unit
• Every other weekend required plus every other holiday
• Potential for mandatory on-call - 2 shifts per month
• 4 years of experience required, first-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, CRTT, VA License, ACLS (90-day window to obtain after start date)
• Preferred certifications: NRP, RRT
• Must have experience with airway management, medication administration, ABGs, O2 therapy, suction, pulmonary toileting, BiPAP, CPAP and nebulizers
• Arterial blood gas draw and analysis, CPAP/BiPAP implementation and management required
• Must attend monthly department meetings or read minutes and acknowledge understanding
• Charge experience preferred - charge responsibility will be required with training provided if needed
• Expected to be Team Lead at times
• Dress code: Wine colored scrubs
• Charting system: Epic
• Must complete up to 8 hours of non-billable modules within 1 week of signing
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Work with patient age groups from neonates to geriatrics
