ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM
• Full-time position
• Must have a minimum of two years of ED experience with current role in ED, freestanding ER, ER code, or ER urgent care
• Practice independently in the emergency department setting, demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of patient situations
• Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA only), ACLS (AHA only), PALS (AHA only), TNCC
• Active RN license in Texas or compact state required
