Telemetry RN Job in Pikeville, KY

Pikeville Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Telemetry unit. This 8-week contract runs on a 3x12 night shift schedule, with a guaranteed 48 hours per week and weekly pay of $2,073.60.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on Med Surg/Telemetry units with a patient ratio of 1:6
• Float throughout inpatient areas as needed, including assignment to other units to support operations
• Read and interpret telemetry strips as part of routine monitoring
• Document care in Care View/EPIC systems (on-site training provided)
• Work every other weekend and holiday rotation as scheduled

Requirements

• Current Kentucky or Compact RN License
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in a relevant specialty
• Level I or Level II Trauma experience required
• AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications
• NIHSS certification
• Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing
• Ability to complete EKG test during onboarding

Schedule Details

• 12-hour night shifts, 3 days per week
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• No on-call or callback requirements
• Holiday hours are not guaranteed when the unit is closed
• Time off subject to approval

Patient census ranges from 15–45 beds depending on unit assignment. Wear black scrubs. Charting experience with Care View/EPIC is preferred but not required. Start date is July 13, 2026.
