PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - IMC

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 day shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Schedule varies based on department needs and can include weekends and holidays
• Must be available to work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Eve + Day counts as 1 holiday)
• Required to pick up one additional shift during each 4-week schedule period
• No on-call requirements
• Minimum 2 years of IMC/Stepdown experience required
• Medical/Neuro ICU experience preferred
• Must have experience with vasopressors, titratable drips, art lines, neuro-stepdown patients, procedural sedation, thrombolytics, and trach management
• Prior travel experience of one 13-week assignment required
• Must pass an ECG/Telemetry exam including reading and interpreting rhythm strips - failure results in contract termination
• Nevada RN license required prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Provide care for patients experiencing severe but non-life-threatening conditions requiring moderately complex assessments and interventions
• Patient population includes general medical disease processes such as post ischemic/hemorrhagic stroke, sepsis, cardiac, and respiratory conditions
• Work in an 18-bed Intermediate Care Unit in a fast-paced environment
• May be required to float to other areas of the organization up to competency level
