Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend required
• Home unit of NICU, PICU, or Pediatrics will be assigned upon arrival but may change based on facility need
• Float required between NICU and Pediatrics Acute Care
• Primarily placed in Labor & Delivery (L&D); must have L&D experience
• NICU or PICU experience required; minimum 2 years of experience required
• Children's hospital experience within the last 3 years required; strong clinicians with Level 1 adult facility experience will be considered
• Patient age groups include neonates, infants, and pediatrics
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NBRC RRT, NRP, Indiana State License (must be in hand at time of submission)
• PALS preferred
• Education must be accredited by CoARC and regionally accredited by CHEA
• Required skills include: aerosol setup, CPAP/BiPAP, extubation, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), tracheostomy care and management, weaning from mechanical ventilation, nitric oxide (iNO), nasal airway placement and suctioning, oral airway placement, metered dose inhaler (MDI), and troubleshooting high pressure alarms, among others
