Job Details:

• Part-time position requiring 24 hours per week, working Saturdays and Sundays only
• Provide safe, age-appropriate patient care for adult, pediatric, and geriatric patient populations
• Function as an advisor and resource for patients and their families as a member of the patient care team
• Average daily census of 40 cases per day
• Call required per unit needs
• Weekend coverage required
• 40 orientation hours required
• Must be proficient in surgical services including Trauma, ENT, Colorectal, Plastics, Neurosurgery, Surgical Oncology, Oral/Dental, Laparoscopic Procedures, Urology, Ophthalmology, GYN, General, Orthopedic, Robotics, Vascular, and Thoracic
• Experience with da Vinci robot required
• Charting experience in Cerner preferred
• Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Valid Maryland or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
• Required certifications: BLS, 16-hour Maryland approved trauma course (required by 27th week), 8-hour annual trauma CEUs
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
