Ultrasound Technologist Job in Griffin, GA

Spalding Medical Center is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for a 10-week night shift assignment. You will work Monday through Friday from 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with no weekend or on-call responsibilities.

What You'll Do

• Perform a wide variety of ultrasound procedures requiring independent judgment and clinical initiative
• Verify clinician orders and obtain complete patient clinical history before procedures
• Review ultrasound images to ensure clinically acceptable results
• Transport and position patients safely for examinations
• Respond to emergency situations and maintain life support equipment as needed
• Demonstrate competence in age-appropriate ultrasound techniques
• Use AIDET communication methods when interacting with patients and families
• Complete all studies in RIS before finalizing in PACS
• Maintain quality control logs for probe disinfection protocols
• Work flexibly to meet department needs in a fast-paced environment

What You'll Need

• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ARDMS (Registered Medical Sonographer) or ARRT-S (ARRT Sonography) certification
• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 year of clinical ultrasound experience
• Trade school diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently in a stressful, high-volume setting
