About this role
You'll work as a Cath Lab Technologist at St Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington, supporting a high-volume cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology program. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting August 31, 2026, with four 10-hour day shifts per week (7:00 AM–5:30 PM).
What You'll Do
- Perform scrubbing, monitoring, and documentation for cardiac and vascular procedures
- Support right and left heart catheterizations with or without intervention
- Assist with structural heart and vascular cases, including TAVR and mitral clip procedures
- Handle IABP and Impella insertion cases
- Manage an average of 22 cases per day between the Cath Lab and EP lab, with potential add-on cases
- Work in a combined unit using a one-team approach, moving cases between suites as needed
- Document cases using EPIC, MacLab, and GE Imaging equipment
Shift and Schedule
You'll work 10-hour days with on-call responsibilities. Expect 8 to 10 on-call days in each 6-week period when not scheduled in-house.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience
- Active ACLS, BLS, and ARRT certification
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential
- Prep and recovery experience preferred
- ICU or PACU experience preferred
- EPIC experience preferred
