Job Details:

• Day shift position, Monday through Friday - no Saturdays
• Shift hours variable with start times at 7:00 AM, 7:30 AM, or 8:00 AM through 5:30 PM
• 2+ years of recent ultrasound experience required
• Must have a current ARDMS license upon submission
• Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), and registry in field of experience (RVS, RVT, RDMS, RCS, or RDCS)
• Operate ultrasound equipment to produce ultrasound studies related to specific specialty
• Perform clinical assessments and diagnostic sonography examinations in one specialty field of ultrasound
• Analyze sonograms, integrate sonographic information and medical history, and communicate findings to the appropriate physician
• Provide preliminary reports to referring physician as required by field of study
• Identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and images
• Differentiate between normal and pathological findings
• Calibrate and operate ultrasound equipment and ensure all equipment is in proper working order
• Ability to lift and transport patients and equipment with physical demands including exerting 50-100 pounds of force occasionally
• Maintain current knowledge by obtaining 10 CME per year or current requirement to meet registry standard
• Assist with performance improvement and research projects as necessary
• Assist in training and orienting new and established employees and/or students to procedures
• Participate in the quality assurance program as requested
