<p><strong>Allied Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>Radiologic Technologist - Computed Tomography</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work evening shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM with set schedule available<br>• Weekend coverage required<br>• 13-week contract assignment<br>• Perform computerized tomographic radiological procedures on patients<br>• May perform general diagnostic radiology examinations<br>• Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare them for examinations<br>• Review clinical data on requisitions and obtain additional patient medical history as needed<br>• Prepare procedure room and maintain adequate supplies including linen and related materials<br>• Analyze anatomical structure of patients, set up equipment, and perform CT scans<br>• Manually control equipment to obtain proper diagnostic information<br>• Administer intravenous contrast media including utilization of power injectors<br>• Monitor patients for possible reactions and provide immediate care if reactions occur<br>• Assist Radiologist in performing complex sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies<br>• Demonstrate principles of radiation protection including patient shielding and ALARA techniques<br>• Complete PACS image exceptions and ensure high quality image delivery<br>• Complete all study indexing in Radiology Information System (RIS)<br>• Required certifications: BLS, ARRT registration, and advanced registry in Computed Tomography (CT)<br>• High School Diploma or GED required<br>• Must maintain required hours of continued medical education<br>• Must be self-directed with good communication skills and team-oriented approach<br>• May be exposed to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and potentially contagious patients<br>• Occasionally required to lift and move equipment and/or patients exceeding 10 lbs</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This healthcare facility provides comprehensive medical services including advanced imaging and diagnostic radiology services.
