Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM shifts
• Acute care setting
• Administer radiation treatments to patients in accordance with radiation oncologist prescriptions and instructions
• Collaborate with radiation oncologist, radiation oncology nurse, medical dosimetrist, and physicist to coordinate services and ensure quality patient care
• Contribute to assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient's plan of care
• Deliver prescribed care and observe patients for reactions during treatment course
• Follow radiation safety guidelines and assist with dosimetry and tumor localization procedures
• Maintain appropriate records and perform equipment checks
• Participate in patient teaching for adult and geriatric populations
• Serve as patient advocate throughout the course of therapy
• Experience with Varian TrueBeam, ARIA record and verify, multi-leaf collimator, HDR Brachytherapy, and dosimetry preferred
• Charting system: EPIC
• Graduate of accredited school of radiation therapy technology required; Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Minimum 3 years of related work experience in radiation therapy technology preferred
• Illinois license required
• Required certifications: ARRT (within one year of graduation), BLS (AHA), IEMA
• BSN not required
