Pharmacist Job in New Albany, IN

Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacist for a travel assignment in New Albany, IN. This is a 10-hour shift role with a rotating first and second shift schedule, working 4 days on and 6 days off. The assignment is 89 weeks, beginning November 16, 2026.

Your Responsibilities:

• Prepare, distribute, and verify medication orders across all patient populations
• Evaluate and verify orders for correct drug, dosage, route, frequency, allergies, therapeutic duplication, interactions, contraindications, and potential adverse events
• Provide decentralized clinical pharmacy services including anticoagulation management, pharmacokinetic dosing, renal dosing, and nutritional support
• Participate in antimicrobial stewardship and opioid stewardship programs
• Supervise and perform production of compounded sterile and nonsterile, hazardous and nonhazardous products
• Oversee dispensing and reconciliation of medications including controlled substances, expiration date management, and drug recalls
• Serve as a drug information expert for providers and healthcare professionals
• Perform medication reconciliation and provide counseling to patients
• Assist with patient transitions of care and discharge preparation
• Participate in Code Blue activities as applicable
• Provide technician oversight and assume supervisory responsibilities
• Collaborate with interprofessional teams to optimize order sets, automated dispensing cabinet inventory, and medication policies
• Identify medication process issues and implement clinical and cost-saving solutions

Required Knowledge:

Working knowledge of pharmacy operations, including pharmacy operating systems, USP 797, USP 795, USP 800, and pharmaceutical waste management.

Compensation:

Weekly pay is $2,396.
