Respiratory Therapist Job in Fort Pierce, FL

You will work as a Respiratory Therapist in the NICU at HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital, a 437-bed facility in Fort Pierce, Florida. This is a 91-day travel assignment with 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, beginning November 10, 2025. Weekly pay is $1,708.20.

Your Role

You will provide direct respiratory care to neonatal patients, handling approximately 44-46 procedures per shift. Your responsibilities include delivering treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory insufficiencies, asthma, pneumonia, and emphysema. You will work with a range of equipment including Servo I ventilators, Hamilton and Astral ventilators, V60, CPAP and BIPAP machines, nebulizers, and perform ABGs and chest physical therapy.

You will operate in a fast-paced critical care environment that demands strong clinical thinking and unwavering focus on patient outcomes. You will collaborate closely with physicians and participate in a disciplinary approach to care. The night shift team includes a supervisor and 8-10 RRTs.

Required Qualifications

• NICU experience required—candidates without NICU background will not be considered
• Minimum 2 years of current acute care hospital RRT experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Trauma experience
• Previous Meditech EMR experience

Light grey scrubs are the required dress code for RRT staff.
