RN - Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Work 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• Some early shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM (or until structural heart procedures are completed)
• One of the 4 days designated as late shift (completing the last patient of the day)
• Call requirement: 1 night per week
• Weekend requirement: 1 weekend every other month
• Float requirement: as needed within hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby
• Self-scheduling system with 24 hours of unit orientation
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Work with adult and geriatric patient population in 5-room cardiac catheterization lab
• Daily census of approximately 30 patients/visits per day
• Required skills include diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, cardiac stent placement, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, procedural sedation monitoring, and sheath removal
• Preferred skills include TAVR, valvuloplasty, Watchman procedures, angioplasty, and vascular interventions
• Use of unit systems: Pyxis, MAC LAB, CUPID, EPIC, SBAR
• Must complete 8-10 hours of non-billable modules pre-start and annually
• Cannot work more than 5 consecutive days or more than 60 hours per week
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
