ED - Emergency Room

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Multiple shift start times available: 7:30, 9:00, 10:00, 11:30, 13:30, 15:30, and 19:30
• Self-scheduling with manager approval to balance the schedule
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday shifts required based on need
• No on-call or standby requirement
• Possibility to float to Meridian and Boise ER locations, though this does not happen often
• Must wear clean and professional scrubs of any color
• 1 shift of unit-specific orientation provided
• Charting system: EPIC
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4
• Treat an average of 110-120 patients per day in a fast-paced environment with high room turnover
• Work in a 24-room ER with 4 low-acuity bays, 1 trauma/crash room, and 4 dedicated behavioral health rooms
• Manage typical ED drips including conscious sedation
• Draw labs primarily, with phlebotomy support available for difficult sticks
• Read and interpret telemetry monitor strips independently
• Perform EKGs alongside ED techs
• Care for a diverse patient population including approximately 20% pediatric patients under 18
• Treat common diagnoses including respiratory issues, abdominal pain, strokes, STEMIs, chest pain, walk-in trauma, outdoor activity injuries, and farming injuries
• Must have 1-2 years of ED experience and be comfortable managing ED flow
• Must be comfortable working with pediatric patients
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC, PALS, TNCC
